This year I was selected as one of the four photographers to contribute to the Day in the Life of WPPI annual publication. The book is produced by GraphiStudio, and includes behind the scenes coverage of the Trade Show, print competition and awards show from four different photographer’s perspectives. I worked closely with Michelle Kersten to come up with a concept to differentiate this book from previous editions. She has been brilliant to work with and I am looking forward to publication.
I wanted to thank Canon for graciously allowing me to use their G7 model for those times I didn’t want to carry my 5d with all my lenses. The camera is compact, allows complete control with manual adjustments, and has a10 Megapixel sensor. Problem with letting me borrow? Now, I need to go out and buy my own!
This weekend we hosted an event at PlumpJack and released our second Image Narration piece. The party consisted of many of the bride and groom's friends that were unable to attend the Costa Rican wedding. We showed them the piece for the first time while they were surrounded by great food, wine, friends and family. The debut went seamlessly, and everyone was moved by the presentation. Several men told me it brought them to tears.
To see the show, please refer to the multimedia portion of our wedding site.
Thanks to everyone who helped me pull it together, especially co-host Melissa Zizzo - you are incredible!
At Catherine Hall Studios we pride ourselves for our vision and innovative approach. Digital technology is changing the way we preserve our memories. These days, photographers can tell stories and illustrate events in more depth than ever before.
In order stay at the forefront of the industry, we offer our clients image narration pieces, which combine recorded audio interviews and images to create a rich rendition of your event.
We employ professional producers who will select the most poignant audio, ambient sound, and accompanying imagery to create a cinematic package that preserves your special day. We would like to invite you to view the first multimedia presentation created in the wedding photography industry: Brooke Richard and Dave Gerzof's Wedding.
New York Author and CHS client, Laura Vanderkam, featured Catherine Hall Studios in her new book Grindhopping. It is a must read for small business owners and young entrepreneurs. Book is available on Amazon.com.
One word describes Jen and Charly's wedding - Spectacular. Perhaps one the most original apsects of the event (besides the beautiful brides breathtaking dress) was how the wedding seamlessly brought together a mix of Classic and Contemporary New York. Once again I was blessed with sensational clients that were a joy to work with.
Please take a moment and view a a slideshow of the wedding.
The New Year brings many changes for Catherine Hall Studios as we have recently established a second base in the San Francisco Bay Area. We will now be spending equal time between SF and Manhattan. What a blessing to be in two of the most incredible cites in the world.

I was recently Sponsored by Epson and they will be using my images for advertising and as samples of what their incredible Photo Printers are capable of. Below is one of the selected images.
I have always used Epson printers in my workflow (because they are the best) but now I will also be using some of their other products, such as the Epson P-5000 multimedia photo viewer - amazing stuff, check it out at the Epson website.
