Dion Scoppettuolo partnered with Apple to create a dynamic, knowledgeable Pro Training Book for Aperture 3 Users. This is the same book that I offered as a reader-gift giveaway! Apple has featured me in the book’s “Cameo” section, which examined my use of Aperture 3 in post-production. An awesome book for anyone interested in becoming a pro in the digital darkroom. Thomas Fogarty Wedding Photography | Stacie + Ron

Stacie and Ron are an absolute inspiration.

Stacie and Ron’s relationship embodies all of the best aspects of a solid, enduring romance. They are light-hearted and energetic, with a full-on sense of fun- as if every moment together is an adventure. The couple exhibits unerring and total admiration for one another.

Stunning with exotic features, Stacie’s beauty leaves you a little awestruck. But not once did I feel shy or uncomfortable around her, because of her grace, ease, warmth, and kindness. Ron is just plain cool – funny, considerate, sharp-as-a-tack and head-over-heels in love with his honey. He would do anything for her. His two daughters were an important part of the celebration, as well, and it’s obvious that they have a loving and mutual connection with Stacie. I wish you two every happiness as you begin your journey together as husband and wife!

With striking features, gorgeous skin, sparkling blue eyes, Stacie is a regal beauty.

The pumpkin orange and deep crimson pallette contributed to an autumnal ambience.

PlumpJack Union in Destination Weddings!

The December 2010 issue of Destination Weddings & Honeymoons magazine features some of my Lake Tahoe wedding photography. The event took place at one of my all-time favorite venues – PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn and featured my fabulous clients, Ci Ci and Bob. The vision for the wedding: No tradition! The unconventional affair started with a mountain-top ceremony concluding with the couple skiing down the hill!

They are an inspiring couple, and it is an absolute honor to share photographs from their special day. I hope you enjoy!

I Take to the Lecturn | PDN Photoplus 2010

Sat 01.08.2011

Cath_PPE2010_16.JPG
At the PDN PhotoPlus 2010 conference, I delivered a seminar about how to become a household name in photography – fast! My students and I unpacked the sometimes-daunting world of social-media marketing, discussing savvy use of contemporary media, such as blogging, Facebook, podcasting, video blogging, and Twitter. I also emphasized how crucial it is to take a risk and get your photography out there – from editorial features, awards, gallery exhibitions, and scholarships. My students were fantastic – we had a blast learning, getting to know one another, and developing connections that will last for years to come.
