Quick Tip: Paint the full picture! When taking portraits don’t forget to include their native environment. Incorporating your subject’s surroundings creates a story to accompany your subject.
This is a great tip. I started doing some of these shots recently and they make a big difference in what I am shooting now. It tells more of a story when you include the surroundings. Also I am trying not to people or objects directly in the middle of my shots, thus creating that effect as well. Love the tips! Keep them coming.
That’s awesome, I think what you are referencing is the rule of thirds. This is a great way to add visual interest to your images!
