This was shot at F/5.6 @ 1/8,000 sec. using Canon 5D Mlll @ 70mm.

Quick Tip:Telling the Story of Life

Thu 12.20.2012

This was shot at F/7.1 @ 1/200 using Canon 5D at 27mm.

Quick Tip: I often create intrigue and depth in my images through the use of storytelling.  In this image for John Deere, I created two distinct narratives to play off one another. The first in the lower portion of the frame and the second in the upper third, together the pair establish a cohesive story of this family.

Quick Tip: Instigate Childish Behavior

Wed 12.12.2012

This was shot at F/2.8 @ 1/640 sec. using Canon 5D Mlll @ 75mm.

Quick Tip: Have fun and PLAY with your clients. Don’t rely on often stiff posing when engaging images may also be created by simply playing.  Whether its having your client bring their dog to play in a session, suggesting your clients play on objects of the natural environment, or asking a bride to pinch her groom’s butt to get an authentic reaction :)  Create an shooting environment that is fun, relaxed, and authentic.  Our goal as photographers is to not only create engaging imagery but insure a great client experience.
