Recently, a friend of mine from college passed away from breast cancer. She was in her 30’s, a young, vibrant, intelligent woman and a truly beautiful person. As I perused her Facebook gallery, it was hard to imagine that she has now passed. I couldn’t help but think how this could happen to such a good person, wife, and mother of two beautiful girls.
As I was morning this passing I came across Sue Bryce’s portrayal of another women fighting cancer and found a message of infused with tragedy yet hope. Hard to watch, but so important to see. I am incredibly taken with the story of Jill Brzezinski-Conley. I am moved beyond words of the inspiration behind this beautiful woman’s ability to find the light in even the darkest of situations. The video documentary was created by photographer and friend Sue Bryce and talented film maker Hailey Bartholomew.
