San Francisco Engagement Shoot Featured on Brooklyn Bride

Thu 01.26.2012

One of Martha Stewart’s favorite bridal blogs loves this adventurous wedding couple as much as I do. Brooklyn Bride is one of the online community’s leading bridal blogs, not to mention one of 7 members of the exclusive Martha’s Circle. When I learned that the blog selected my San Francisco engagement-session portraits of Texas residents Gaby & Ryan to be featured on their website, I was truly honored. Check out this dreamy pair’s smoking-hot images on Brooklyn Bride.

West Shore Lake Tahoe Wedding Featured on Tahoe Unveiled

Thu 12.15.2011

My photographs of this beautiful, if rain-soaked, Lake Tahoe wedding are featured on the Tahoe Unveiled wedding blog. Even the rain on this special day didn’t keep Shawnda and Andre from smiling. The unerringly positive attitude of this couple absolutely made my day, and the extraordinary environment made for one of the most memorable weddings I’ve done. Check out the blog post for more photos of the stunning day, including one of my favorites of the cheerful, glowing bride.

My Lake Tahoe Wedding Photography in Style Me Pretty Destination

Thu 12.08.2011

This Lake Tahoe wedding, brilliantly designed and coordinated by the stunning bride, was recently featured in Style Me Pretty Destination. After moving from Boulder, Colorado to Lake Tahoe for the opportunity to go rock climbing and skiing together, Anya and Charlie were officially engaged on New Year’s Eve 2008. Because most of their time together was spent in the woods and on the trails surrounding the lake that is usually the focus of events at this destination, the Tahoe City Nordic Center made the perfect venue for the couple.

Anya’s stellar design sense pulled together the sun-kissed colors, the natural setting, and the surprising element of the giant balloons with beautiful ease. Check out the article for insight from the bride, and more photographs from this enchanting event.

My Yountville Vintage Estate Wedding in Junebug Weddings

Thu 12.01.2011

My photography of Alyssa and Brett’s Vintage Estate wedding is featured in Junebug Weddings, alongside a wonderful interview with Alyssa. I met Alyssa through her friend Keisha, whose wedding I photographed in Cayman Islands. When I think of Alyssa, a bright-eyed Wall Street executive, the first thing that comes to my mind is her effortless elegance and unexpected kindness. Read my story of how Alyssa gave me her Vera Wang Eleanor dress on Grace Ormonde.

Alyssa and Brett’s multi-day destination wedding brought the New York couple and 75 guests to the sophisticated Napa Valley vineyard for the opportunity to experience far more than a wedding ceremony. Wedding coordinator Cay Lemon of Zest Productions was instrumental in planning this lush weekend – from the “fiesta” of Mexican food with an accompanying Spanish band to a spa day treat for the bridesmaids and brunch at Auberge de Soleil for the groomsmen.

Against the lush green backdrop of wine country in May, the wedding’s Mediterranean theme beautifully complemented the Wine Country charm of the estate. With guests all decked in white and toting white parasols to shade them from the brilliant California sun, the entire event sported elegance and purity, dotted only occasionally with sage green accents and the natural greens of the summer.

My Viansa Winery Wedding Photography in I Do Venues Blog

Thu 10.27.2011

My photography of the wedding of Lucy and Ross McClennan was featured in I Do Venues, honoring one of my favorite venues, Viansa Winery. With the help of Designer/Planner Denise Auerbach and  Day of Coordinator Laura Johnson, Lucy and Ross held a perfect celebration in the rustic courtyard with gorgeous floral designs from Wine Country Flowers. If you’ve never been to the winery, the terra-cotta walls with Italian marble detailing create a gorgeous, unique arc to poetically frame this romantic occasion, and the courtyard is shaded by Italian cypress trees and stone pines, casting the perfect amount of filtered natural light – what more could a photographer ask for? :-)
