This year started off with a very unique wedding at PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn in Lake Tahoe.  I knew I was in for a treat when Ci Ci told me that Bob was having a custom tux made to fit over his ski boots.  And why would he need such a thing?  The morning ceremony took place at High Camp on the top of Squaw Valley.  Shortly following the "I do"s'  the newlyweds took me for a ride on skis as I followed the great skiers around the mountain in their wedding garb.  I must admit, it was one of the most fun things i have ever done!

The night reception displayed a completely different tone.  It took place at the hip PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn and was contemporary, elegant, and an amazing party.  Everyone that sees the images assumes that Ci Ci is an interior designer or is part of the art world in some way.  She is actually a brilliant businesswoman that has a flair for design, grace and style.  As for Bob, well, he is one of the most kind, generous, thoughtful people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.  He especially got me when he left the dance floor to find me to make sure I got a "cupcake" - he didn't want me to miss out on the experience of the delicious dessert!

Any stories that you would like to share? 4) What kind of equipments and software do you use? 5) Where is your favorite kind of place to take photos? 6) What was your most memorable assignment or photo shoot? Why? 7) Describe your everyday life with the photography job at hand.. are there points where your job interrupts your life? 8) What is your favorite part of being a photographer? 9) What do you plan to do in the future? Still taking pictures? Will you ever going to be able to stop taking pictures? 10) What do pictures mean to you? Are they important to you? What are they to you? 11) How long have you been in the photography business? Was it a hard transition for you? 12) What words and advices would you have to those people out there who have the passion towards photography and trying to get into the business? Dietrick_014.jpgTara and Greg's wedding was just like a storybook fairy tale. Tara looked exquisite and she and the Greg made a couple brimming with both inner and outer beauty.

The wedding took place at one of my favorite venues, the West Shore Cafe, in Lake Tahoe. The bride and groom were married on the site's lawn, overlooking gorgeous Lake Tahoe. Then, the newlyweds joined their guests for cocktails and appetizers on the lakefront patio before heading into the rustic, yet chic, reception room for dinner. The evening ended with dancing by the lake. It was a truly magical evening.

Special thanks to event planners Judy Lingle, Lulana Calhoun, and Shawna Lee for doing such a phenomenal job coordinating Tara and Greg's special day.

Kruchten_slideshow_44.jpgKim Baker was a dream bride - beautiful, sweet, down to earth, full of taste, and not afraid to go anywhere in her dress!  And as for the groom, Kevin was full of life, creative, spontaneous, handsome and a lot of fun.  I had a smile on my face throughout the whole wedding!

The ceremony took place in front of Lake Tahoe and concluded with lakefront cocktails and reception.  The wedding coordinator, Kimberly Mitchell Zinn, did a fantastic job which made everything run smoothly and allowed us all to get the most out of such a great day.

This wedding will soon be featured at TheKnot.com - specific details to follow.

Rariden_Slideshow_62.jpgWhen I met Kate, she was working as an art director for a top agency in San Francisco.  I knew that her wedding would be beautiful and full of unique custom details.  Despite my high expectations, I was still blown away by how everything came together.  The wedding had a contemporary yet intimate feel and took place amongst the lush, tropical landscape of The Holly Farm in Carmel.  Additionally, the people working at Holly Farm absolutely love what they do and created such a positive atmosphere for everyone.  It was an amazing wedding with such a beautiful and fun couple!
